Ah! I lost my annotations on this one. I am so mad.
The moon explodes in the opening pages, and humanity has two years to figure out how to survive what comes next. It’s a terrific book. A bunch of scientists and engineers trying to solve complex technical problems in an impossible timeframe with limited resources. What can go wrong?
Some sections definitely run long. He goes on these very long explorations and sometimes you lose a bit the main story. But I also appreciate the research he put into capturing all that with great detail.
